Background

The global digital economy continues to redefine how individuals learn, work, and create impact. In Cameroon and across Africa, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is emerging as a key driver of economic transformation and youth empowerment. Yet, many young professionals and graduates struggle to access the right knowledge, mentorship, and opportunities to fully participate in this fast-evolving industry.

Quality Building Initiates Change (QBIC), a forward-thinking social enterprise was established to empower individuals, professionals, and organizations to evolve, adapt, and lead with purpose. Through transformative learning experiences and strategic partnerships, QBIC seeks to nurture a generation of purposeful leaders capable of driving innovation and sustainable development.

The Inspire Conference 2025 is the flagship platform through which QBIC seeks to ignite passion, bridge knowledge gaps, and foster collaboration among young ICT enthusiasts and industry stakeholders.


 Project Overview

The Inspire Conference is a two-city event (Yaoundé & Bamenda) designed to inspire, equip, and connect over 100 aspiring ICT professionals. It will feature a blend of keynote presentations, panel discussions, interactive Q&A sessions, project pitching, and networking opportunities.

The conference provides a unique space for students, early-career professionals, start-ups, and development partners to engage in meaningful conversations around building sustainable careers and ventures in ICT.


Objectives

General Objective:
To empower and inspire young Cameroonians to pursue meaningful and sustainable careers in Information and Communication Technology.

Specific Objectives:

  • To provide participants with practical insights on choosing and building careers in ICT.
  • To connect aspiring ICT professionals with mentors, employers, and scholarship opportunities.
  • To showcase innovative IT projects and start-up ideas from young entrepreneurs.
  • To promote digital literacy, innovation, and job creation through ICT.

Meet the speakers

Mbah Theodore S.

Computer Engineer | Thought Leader | Brand Strategist

Sama Theodore Mbah is an innovative ICT professional with a strong background in web development, graphic design, and IT systems management. He has worked with notable institutions including the United Nations Information Centre Yaoundé, Local Youth Corner Cameroon, and the Ladybird Group of Schools, where he developed and managed digital platforms and visual communication projects.
A graduate with a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Networks and System Maintenance and a Higher National Diploma in Software Engineering, Sama combines creativity with technical expertise to deliver impactful digital solutions. Passionate about technology-driven growth, he is dedicated to inspiring young professionals to unlock their potential and build successful careers in the ever-evolving ICT industry.


Herbert Suh

Telecom Engineer | C.E.O | Skill Developer | IT Consultant

Herbert Suh is a Telecom Engineer at CAMTEL Cameroon and the Founder of ETS.NTECH, an IT consultancy and training firm dedicated to advancing technology education and innovation in Africa. With a background in computer engineering and a passion for youth empowerment, Herbert contributes to the development of Cameroon’s national network infrastructure while driving initiatives that help young Africans gain practical ICT skills and industry readiness.
Through ETS.NTECH, he has led over 15 professional trainings, supervised 30+ projects, and mentored more than 350 trainees in just four years, fostering a new generation of tech-savvy professionals. His mission is to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world IT practice while developing technological solutions that address common societal challenges.
Herbert envisions positioning ETS.NTECH among Africa’s leading tech institutions and continues to champion innovation, mentorship, and sustainable digital growth across the continent.


Robinson Fontebo

Computer Engineer | Project Manager | IT Client Support

Robinson Fontebo Sama is a Project Assistant in the Digital Development and Energy Sector of the World Bank, based in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Robinson is a graduate student in IT Management at the IUBH University of Applied Sciences, Berlin Germany and a holder of a BSc in Information Systems from the ICT University. His expertise spans IT Client Support, Project Management and Digital Transformation. His graduate research focuses on Digital Transformation in the Public Service. Prior to joining the World Bank, he served as an IT Officer at NewSETA – AMD Secretariat. He is passionate about youth development and mentors many young people in areas of career, business, personal development and spiritual growth.


Muluh Godson

Software Developer | Teacher | Pedagogic Inspector

Muluh Godson is a young Cameroonian tech developer and digital innovator recognized internationally for his groundbreaking contributions to technology and education.
He is currently the National Pedagogic inspector of Computer Science at the ministry of Secondary Education. One of his epic achievements at MINESEC is the development of the MINESEC Distant learning platform that helps students across the nation prepare for GCE examinations.
In 2024, he won the Google Gemini AI Award in the “Best Use of Firebase” category for his project TRIPPY, an AI-powered travel application that simplifies trip planning through smart features such as cost comparison, receipt capture, and voice-based currency conversion. His victory selected from over 3,500 submissions across 119 countries earned him $50,000 (≈ FCFA 31 million) and marked him as the only African winner among nine award categories.
Before this global recognition, Muluh won the 2022 MTN MoMo National Hackathon with Miya, a crowdfunding platform through which he raised funds to renovate and equip a computer lab at Government Bilingual High School Mudeka, benefiting nearly 1,000 students annually.
Driven by a passion for digital inclusion, Muluh’s current focus is on expanding digital education in remote Cameroonian communities. He is developing solar-powered digital infrastructures to overcome barriers such as lack of electricity and internet, aiming to bring sustainable technology and computer literacy to underserved areas.


Charles Gobina

Software Engineer| Full stack Developer

Charles Gobina is a software developer and engineer with a strong background in full-stack development and mobile application design. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Software Engineering from the University of Buea (Cameroon) and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Software Engineering at the University of Oulu (Finland).
With hands-on experience at Caasitech Group, Charles has developed and optimized scalable systems using Node.js, Flutter, Firebase, and React. He led projects such as SOS Cameroon, a mobile safety app, and contributed to backend optimizations and continuous delivery pipelines. His collaborative experience at Microverse honed his skills in remote pair programming, code review, and agile teamwork.
Charles is also an active open-source contributor, developing tools like RepoMiner (a GitHub repository mining tool) and Dependabot MCP Server for vulnerability insights. His technical expertise spans JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Dart, and frameworks like React, Node.js, and Flutter, complemented by proficiency in Docker, Firebase, and Google Cloud.


Newa Glory

UX/UI and Product Designer

Newa Glory is a dynamic UX/UI and Product Designer at Caasitech Group LLC, where she channels her passion for creativity, innovation, and user empathy into designing impactful digital products. Known for her ability to merge design and technology seamlessly, Newa transforms complex concepts into intuitive, meaningful user experiences that truly make a difference.
Throughout her career at Caasitech, Newa has collaborated on several transformative products that embody the company’s vision for a safer, smarter, and more connected world. Among them is SOS by Caasitech—an inspiring initiative led by the women of Caasitech, created to enhance community safety and combat gender-based violence through accessible technology.
Newa’s work reflects a deep commitment to using design as a bridge between human needs and technological possibilities. Her journey is a testament to the power of innovation, collaboration, and purpose in unlocking limitless career paths within the ICT industry
